Participation Plan for Transportation Planning and Programming

The Participation Plan for Transportation Planning and Programming addresses the corresponding provisions of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) of 2005, as reflected in the Metropolitan Transportation Planning final rule dated February 14, 2007. It expands on the Public Involvement Process, which was developed in response to corresponding provisions of the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 (ISTEA). The Participation Plan describes the actions to be taken which will provide opportunities for a broad range of stakeholders to be involved in the transportation planning process for the metropolitan planning area.
