The City of Moundsville will use this $200,000 ARRA Brownfield Cleanup Grant for clean-up of hazardous substance contaminants at the former Fostoria Glass Plant site. This project will encourage redevelopment of the site such that the future reuse of the property will create jobs and not pose a threat to human health and the environment. This American Reinvestment and Recovery Act Project is being fully funded by a $200,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant.
I hereby certify for the City of Moundsville that the following described ARRA infrastructure investment has received the full review and vetting required by law and that as the authorized representative of the city accepts responsibility that the infrastructure investment for the City of of Moundsville Brownfields Cleanup Grant project is an appropriate use of taxpayer dollars.
